Hydration

Drinking enough water each day is important to regulate body temperature, keep joints lubricated, prevent infections, deliver nutrients to cells, and keep organs functioning properly. Being well-hydrated also improves sleep quality, cognition, and mood.
Experts recommend drinking roughly 11 cups of water per day for the average woman and 16 for men.

In the outdoors, higher water loss increases the need for hydrating more.

The most convenient way to hydrate is by a hydration reservoir that sits in your backpack or waistpack. The reservoir contains a capped mouth for filling with liquid and a hose that allows you to drink hands-free. Most hoses end with a "bite valve" that opens when the user bites down on it; the valve is always protected by a dust cover.

Some of the hoses of our hydration packs are insulated to keep water from freezing or becoming warm.
