Shop Attendant - Sales and Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a reliable Sales and Marketing assistant who is obsessed with customer service. This role is for you if you are a self-starter, a team player, mentally mature, an excellent communicator and can work with near zero supervision. You should be willing to work as part of a wider team in order to ensure customers are satisfied.

Duties and responsibilities

Sales channels management

1. Receiving, unpacking, and arranging new shipments from suppliers and vendors.
2. Assisting customers in finding products they are looking for
3. Processing customer payments at checkout point/till
4. Addressing customer inquiries and complaints
5. Collaborating with other team members to ensure customer orders are delivered in a timely manner
6. Managing online store, online market places, and social media pages, WhatsApp
7. Working closely with delivery team and other team members to ensure products arrive on time

Marketing

1. Assist to conceive, formulate marketing strategies  by planning, developing and implementing effective marketing strategies
2. Assist to plan, produce content and visual materials for marketing campaigns
3. Organize and post advertising/communication campaigns (social media and phone).
4. Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness etc
5. Assist in fostering relationships with community organisers for collaboration in promotional activities.
6. Assist in the recruitment and management of third party collaborators

Other duties

1. Creating digital content during downtimes
2. Initiating, attending and leading frequent team meetings to ensure Company goals are aligned
3. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Company

Requirements

• Proven experience as a sales and marketing assistant or similar role
• Should have good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods
• Proficient knowledge of using computers, phones and social media apps. 
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and Swahili flawlessly
• Ability to keep clients, team and supervisor up-to-date at all times
• Interest in hiking, cycling and other outdoor sports
• A polite and professional demeanor
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
